Dave Bautista, the actor best known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has recently stated that he would “love to work with James [Gunn] again,” regardless of whether it is a DC film or not.
In an interview with ComicBook, Bautista was asked if he would work with James Gunn again in a DC movie, to which Bautista shared that he is interested in it, but he hasn’t “talked to James about the DC Universe.”
Bautista did go on to explain how he has the utmost respect for Gunn and would love to work with him again, DC movie or otherwise.
“I would love to work with James again, whether it’s DC Universe or not. I just love James Gunn. He’s an incredible director, and we have a camaraderie that’s priceless,” Bautista said. “So, to work with him again? I mean, I’d do it for free. But we just haven’t had the conversations. He’s on top of DC now. He’s doing his thing. I’m trying to grind along in my processing. But, I’m always open-minded too, and I’ve expressed that to him.”
Since Bautista debuted as Drax in the MCU, the actor has gone on to star in various films. These include Knock at the Cabin, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and Dune: Part Two, scheduled to hit theaters on March 1.
