Rocksteady Gifts Suicide Squad Deluxe Edition Players In-Game Currency After Game Was Pulled Offline

Rocksteady is in the process of compensating players with $20 in-game currency for those who purchased the digital deluxe version of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The reasoning behind it is that shortly after the game went live in early access for those with the digital deluxe edition, there was a bug that caused players to “auto-complete” the game, and the only way to solve this was for Rocksteady to pull it offline. Since the game is always online, pulling it offline meant that it would become unplayable until the studio resolved the issue.

Thanks to a VGC report, we know that an in-game message was sent to those who purchased the deluxe version of the studio apologizing:

“Thank you for being one of our first console players during early access of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” Rocksteady said in an in-game message sent to Deluxe Edition players. “We recognize that you’ve been patient with us during our initial launch server updates, and we’d like to show our appreciation for your patience with a special gift of 2000 LuthorCoins. Thank you again!”

For those unaware, LuthorCoins is Suicide Squad’s premium currency, and 2,000 coins cost roughly $20. The report explains that standard skins can be purchased for 1,000 coins while “Deluxe” and “Legendary” skins can cost up to 2,000 coins.
