Helldivers 2 is here to spread democracy across alien planets whether the hostile monsters want it or not, and because this Helldivers sequel comes amid the era of live-service games, you’ll find a battle pass system in place for the first time in the series. Warbonds are the official in-game name for the multiple battle passes on offer right now–but don’t worry, as one of them requires no additional charge beyond buying the game.
In this image gallery, we’ll preview every reward you can earn in the game’s two Warbonds, the free Helldivers Mobilize and the paid Steeled Veterans. Each Warbond acts quite like the battle pass systems in many other games, such as Fortnite and Call of Duty Warzone. By unlocking free in-game currency called Medals, you can claim rewards on a page. When you claim enough items on a page, the subsequent page opens up, allowing you some wiggle room to unlock items in an order of your choosing–to an extent anyway.
The free Helldivers Mobilize battle pass includes 10 pages of rewards including premium currency called Super Credits, emotes, armor skins, weapon skins, and more. The paid Steeled Veterans battle pass (roughly $10) includes three additional pages of rewards. For patient players, you can unlock enough Super Credits through the free Warbond, and then use them to unlock the paid battle pass, too. It stands to reason that Arrowhead, the game’s developer, will set up its seasons to allow this each time by design. Of course, you could also skip the wait and buy the premium pass instantly, if you prefer.
If you think you’re ready to spread democracy through the power of gunfire and grenades, take a look at all of the Warbond rewards available in Helldivers 2. We’ve noted exactly when these images shift to highlight the paid battle pass, too.
