CD Projekt Red Confirms Cyberpunk 2077 Complete Edition, Though Details Are Thin

Cyberpunk 2077’s big 2.0 patch and Phantom Liberty DLC are a big success for developer CD Projekt Red, which has led some to wonder if the game will receive a re-release that includes all DLC. In an investor Q&A, the company’s chief commercial officer MichaÅ‚ Nowakowski indicated that such an edition is on the way, though details are scarce.

As reported by VGC, Nowakowski said that the developer “doesn’t know the name yet” but indicated that it’s only a matter of time before it comes out. The statement came in response to a question that asked about a hypothetical “Game of the Year edition,” which is another name that game publishers use for these sort of complete packages.

This isn’t a big surprise, as CD Projekt made a Game of the Year edition for its last major game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which included all of its post-release content. However, Nowakowski said that the Cyberpunk complete edition may differ in some respects from The Witcher version, stating that “it’s not yet time to discuss [it].”

Earlier this week, several social media users reported a PEGI listing for Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, which has since been removed. Given Nowakowski’s comments, it’s likely that this isn’t the final name, but it may emerge under that moniker at some point. During that same investor Q&A, company CEO Adam KiciÅ„ski said that Cyberpunk had cleared 25 million sales. CD Projekt recently said that Cyberpunk 2 is in a conceptual stage, so don’t expect to play it anytime soon.
